MEHO MEHANOVIĆ
This is the tenth year that the client Meho Mehanovic residing in Olovo, a charming town in the middle of BIH, is using microcredits from MCO SUNRISE. Until today he has used 93,500 KM, and currently he is in his 9th credit cycle using the amount of 20,000 KM. First credit to Mr. Mehanović was approved on January 1st, 1988 for the purposes of buying a business space and opening a restaurant. During the first year he has used 3 credits in the amount of 17,000 KM. By combining his savings and the microcredit funds, Mr. Mehanović has expanded his business and registered it as the private company, as well as opened up another restaurant in the resident area Boganovići on the attractive location on the riverside of Krivaja river.



Today, Mr. Mehanović has two very reputable restaurants – one in Olovo and one in Boganovići that he was able to open and finance with the help of, as Meho says “My Sunrise”.
By fulfilling high standards of “SUNRISE”, Mr. Mehanović has managed to earn a title of VIP client and with that all the VIP credit conditions.

LJUŠA MUHAMED

Has used 88.000 KM in seven credit cycles. Currently, he has an active credit in the amount of 20.000 KM that should be repaid within 24 months. He used his first credit in 1998 for turn-over business. Today he has a registered business -- a self-owned store for making national, hand-made clothes in Veliki Čurčiluk street no 54. This is a family-owned business and our credits provide regular financial support to our client and his family.

SELMANI ABDULBESIR

This client is currently in his fourth cycle. He took his first credit from MKO “Sunrise” in order to restart catering business in his own business space. Today he owns pie-store named “Sač” and has five full-time employees. He is currently repaying a credit in the amount of 11.000 KM issued in the repayment period of 5 months. Until now he has used three credits in the amount of 18.000 KM.

Until 1997, Vildana used to live in Germany with her sister where they have completed School for Hairdressing and Make-up artistry.
After she has returned to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1997, two of them have decided to start their own business and open a Make-up/Hairdressing Salon. In the beginning of 1998, Vildana has taken her first credit from MKO “ Sunrise ” in the amount of 5.000 KM. Until today, she has used five cycles in the total amount of 39.000 KM. All financial resources have strictly been invested into the business space and equipment of this salon.

This client spent his refugee years in Zenica in the territory of Donji Vakuf municipality. He has 5 daughters and 1 son, 11 grandchildren, all of which have lived with him until recently. He fixed his ruined home by himself with the help of his children and his wife.

Muhamed has requested several times to return to his old job or to get a new one in the factory where he worked prior to the beginning of war. Unfortunately, he received no help so he decided to start his own business. However, nobody could help him because none had resource to start a new business. After a long search for financial help or a financial idea, he finally found help in our organization. We introduced him to our credit program, and after only half an hour he came back and filled out the request for a loan.

At that time, he used a credit product no. 2. Further on, he exclusively uses our financial resources to keep his business growing. Up until today he used 19.500 KM in five cycles. Currently, he is using a credit in the amount of 8.000 KM on 12 months and has already regularly paid all five.

Soon after we have opened our office in Jajce, Muhamed has enquired about a loan for agriculture; in other words for milk production. With the use of our credit resources he bought new stock, renovated stock-house, and bought a little piece of land for his sheep. He has been working on milk production continually through all cycles, and has been selling the milk to his fellow neighbors. In the past year, he delivers milk to his customers early in the morning, prior to going to his regular work. He has started working on a full-time basis just a year ago. He plans to work with agriculture even in the following years, using it as an additional income for his family. He does not want to quit this type of work and plans to introduce some novelties into this business.

We have recently informed him of our new credit products.

He already plans to take a new credit after repaying an old one in order to improve his existing agricultural business.
